The elastic ring is rolled over the digit starting at the tip & positioned at its base. Blood is squeezed out of the digit as it is rolled & accludes the vessels.The Tourni-Cot is easy to remove:
At the end of the procedure the Tourni-Cot is removed by dividing it at the notch. The Tourni-Cot slides easily over open wounds when moisturised with Betadine or blood. The Tourni-Cot is best applied when the digit is anaesthetised.
